👈🏾 Kamala thee Plant

When my roommate bought this houseplant during election week, we named her Kamala ✊🏿. She’s still thriving in our apartment, thanks to some good light and rich rice water, because we know how dramatic some of these plants can be.

For me, Kamala symbolizes hope, strength and resilience. She also symbolizes what it means to be watered and nurtured, especially during these crazy times. I’ve started a book blog to avoid doom scrolling and realized how healing reading can be. I hope you’re watering and nurturing yourself…and doing some reading 📚💕.
